Atlas Copco Xc Portable Compressor Controllers
The Xc family is Atlas Copco's controller line for portable diesel compressors (XAS, XATS, XAHS, XAVS ranges). This guide explains how the Xc1002 / 2002 / 2003 / 3003 / 4004 naming works and what each one does.

What the range letters (XAS / XATS / XAHS / XAVS) mean
These letters describe the compressor's pressure / duty class, not the controller: XAS ≈ standard (~7 bar), XATS ≈ medium-high, XAHS ≈ high pressure, XAVS ≈ variable / extra-high, with XAMS / XAXS on the higher-pressure lines. The Xc controller fitted is driven mainly by the machine's size class and build generation, so the same range letter can carry different Xc controllers across model years.
